David Williamson founded MIG Building Systems (MIG) in 1975 as Monroe Insulation and Gutter Co. Inc. David started MIG with a loan from his prior employer, a strong work ethic and a vision of providing insulation and gutters to the Rochester building community. David grew the business from three employees to over 50 before turning the reins over to his oldest son, Randy, in the late 90's. Eventually, David's youngest son, Marc, took over the business in 1998. Randy and Marc have taken their father's vision and expanded the MIG product portfolio from insulation and gutters to closet shelving, fireplaces and shower doors.
In addition, MIG joined forces with Installed Building Products LLC (IBP), a national leader in the installed building products industry. This affiliation gives MIG access to a top-notch management team abreast
of national trends, cutting edge information technology and the industry's best building products. We are proud to be a part of the IBP family of companies.
The key to MIG's success has been providing customers fine, quality products at a fair price and backing them with a top-notch, professional team. In addition, the Williamsons have always hired their employees with the intent of helping them build a career, not just a summer job. Many of our installers have been with the company for over 10 years - and look forward to the next 10 years.

opening of a brand-new, state of the art product showroom, at 103 Ontario St., to showcase their interior products.
